What we're building
Two products, one ring. A consumer platform where people find independent businesses, invite friends, join the table by QR, order together, and split the bill. And the operating system those businesses run on: orders, kitchen, payments, reservations, hours.
The problem
Independents run on fragmented, expensive tools built for chains - and the platforms that control discovery tax them for access to their own customers.
Who it's for
Independent businesses - restaurants, cafes, food trucks, makers, and service providers - and the people who buy from them. Austin first. Houston next.
We got tired of watching great independents use bad software.
Ordr Ring started as a frustration. We kept seeing independent businesses: the ones with real character, real craft, and real regulars, stuck on software that was slow, expensive, and clearly built for someone else.
So we built both halves of the fix. An operating system a business can run itself - orders, kitchen, payments, reservations, hours - on the hardware the team already has. And a consumer platform where people discover those businesses, join the table, order together, and split the bill.
We're starting with Austin because we know this city's independent scene. We want to get it right here before we go anywhere else.

We built this for the shop that's been on the same corner for 15 years, not the franchise expanding into its 50th location.

Not a desktop app crammed onto a tablet. Ordr Ring was designed for iPhone and iPad from day one.
Honest pricing
A flat fee plus a tiny, transparent rate. A fraction of what the giants take, with no surprises and no hardware upsells.

We're local. We're customers of the places we're building for. That keeps us honest.
Who's building this
We first met in high school where we played tennis doubles, had engineering classes, and worked at the same restaurant. We both ended up at the University of Texas, and the same two people who once worked a restaurant together are now building the system we wish that restaurant had.

Hi, I'm Andy. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Economics. Before Ordr Ring, I traded futures with proprietary funding, reaching +$75,000 in P&L across $250,000 in funded accounts while operating within strict drawdown and risk management constraints. I designed, built, and shipped Ordr Ring end to end: the consumer platform, the owner portal, discovery, and live payments.

Hi, I'm Brandon. I'm in my final semester at the University of Texas at Austin, studying Mechanical Engineering in the honors program, and I'm currently an engineering intern at Siemens. I shipped most of Ordr Ring's web frontend in its early stages.

Every decision starts with whether it makes a shift on the floor smoother or an owner's week easier. If it doesn't, it doesn't ship.
Earn it every month
No long contracts, no lock-in. We charge a flat fee plus a tiny, transparent rate and you can leave whenever you want. That keeps us honest about delivering value.
Local, on purpose
We're starting in Austin because we can show up in person, learn the room, and get it right before we scale anywhere else.
